QUICK-TIP TOURNEY

Date: July 12th (One Day)

 

Grades: 4th-12th

 

Location: Pius XI High School

​

Fee: $275.00 per team (No discount for multiple teams)

 

Information:

  • Three games guaranteed

  • Two 16-minute halves per game

​TOURNAMENT RULES

  • First team listed on the schedule is the home team & should wear white

    • For example: 1 vs 2 (#1 would be the home team)​

  • 16-minute running halves

    • Clock stops last one minute of each half

    • Games will start on time

    • Two minute warm up

  • Half-time is two minutes

  • Two 30 second timeouts per game

  • Seven team fouls= Bonus

    • Ten team fouls= Double Bonus

  • Technical is two points and the ball

  • Only one coach may stand during the game

  • Five fouls per player

  • Each team must provide a score keeper

 

PRESSING RULES

  • Division G & I

    • No pressing until the last one minute of the game​

  • All other divisions can press the whole game unless winning by 20pts

​

FREE THROWS RULES

  • On the release

    • Pool G & Pool I can jump over the line

    • All other divisions/pools must shoot from behind the free throw line

​

OVERTIME RULES​​

  • Two minutes on the clock. 1st team to score 1 point wins. If no one wins we go to a free throw shoot out.

  • Pool G & I go straight to a Free Throw shootout

  • Free-Throw shoot out rules

    • Guest team on the score board shoots first

    • Each team picks a player to shoot.

    • If the first shooter misses and the other teams first shooter makes it the game is over.

    • If both players miss we keep going and pick different players until one team makes and the other misses.

    • Coaches can pick anyone. Doesn't matter if there are in at the end of the game or not.

  • Score keepers should add each made free-throw to the final score

 

POINT SYSTEM – BRACKET AND POOL PLAY

  • Overall record

  • Head to head

  • Most points earned (all 3 games)

    • Winning team = Gets amount of points you won by (Max of 20)

    • Losing team = Gets subtracted points (Max of 20)

  • Least amount of points given up (all 3 games)

  • Back to head to head

  • Free-Throw shoot out​
